Liaoning released the list of two batches of CCM project capacity replacement enterprises

Dec. 19, 2024 - According to the requirements of the "Implementation Opinions of the General Office of the Liaoning Provincial People's Government on Promoting the High-quality Development of Magnesite Industry" (No. 15 of [2023]), "Liaoning Province Magnesite Flotation and Magnesia Industry Capacity Replacement Measures" (No. 18 of [2024]), and depending on the progress of the special remediation work of magnesite industry, Liaoning Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, on December 13 and December 18, respectively, released two batches of enterprises list on caustic calcined magnesia (CCM) projects capacity replacement program, on the basis of the enterprises application, after the examination of the municipal industry and information technology departments.
The two batches of enterprises include 8 in Haicheng region and 6 in Yingkou region, such as: Haicheng Guotian Mining, Haicheng Qianyuan Refractory, Haicheng Zhonghao Magnesium Industry, Dashiqiao Haimag Sintering Plant, Yingkou Guanshan Refractory, Yingkou Qinghua Shipeng Kiln Industry, etc.
The combined production capacity of the two batches of 14 companies involved in the withdrawal is more than 3 million tons (3,034,600 tons), with 2,843,500 tons of CCM and 191,100 tons of DBM (Dead burned magnesia), with the required shutdown and demolition time are starting from December 2024; while the new capacity for replacement is 2.1 million tons of CCM, with the difference between new capacity and closed capacity is 934,600 tons, and the new capacity will begin constructing from December 2024 and will gradually come on stream by December 2025, with some projects by December 2026.
